NCR Weather improving... - Page 3

Rode about 200 miles today. High temperature today...............45 degrees, but sunny!
Checked my trip odometers today, over 1400 on the Nomad and over 900 on the Drifter so far this year. Doesn't seem like I have ridden over 2300 miles this year.

You folks back east don't know what wind is.

Probably not, but around here last week it was around 40 MPH average with gusts up to 50. Any way you measure it; that begins to be windy.

Hey, the weather is getting much better here in MN. Today the snow turned back to rain - call it progress!

I had to travel this weekend for Easter.

Typically I take the motorcycle on this trip if the weather holds-out. I didn't ride this weekend because every weather source I could find had it raining and cold the entire route on both days.

So I drove in sunny 60 degree weather for 3 hours on Saturday... never did see any rain nor low temps... hey but I wasn't too upset because it was supposed to rain today off-and-on all day, with the temps dipping-down to the chilly-range.

Ha! Woke up, no rain happening. Left to head home at 2:30PM and drove in 62 degree weather the entire 3-hours and no sign of rain -- NONE!!

Talk about ticking-me-off!!! I could have ridden the bike down and back easily without the having seen a single rain-drop or cold-temp.

I only rode in town today. I was tempted to just head out anywhere, but alas, Easter Sunday IS Easter Sunday and the mama may not have been too friendly when I came home.

We drove the car to Easter service & the most popular question asked by others ---Did you ride today?----they know me all to well even though I don't darken the door as often as I should. We exited the building with sunshine & 65, but by the time we had finished dinner at local restaurant it was raining.

I left home at 10:30 yesterday morning with a temp of 47 and wonderful sunshine. We rode until 4:30 in the afternoon with a break for lunch. Temp when I got home was 60, and my face and head are sunburned. We put on about 200 miles in all and had a great day in the sun. Sunny days this spring have been a rarity. Forgot to mention that I love the Sirius radio that I put on this spring.

It is Friday, the temp is 53 degrees and the sun is shining. I am leaving work in 30 minutes and riding until dark. Might even stop and have lunch

I rode to West Des Moines on Wednesday. About146 miles round trip. Started out at 37 degrees. Came back home a different way and stopped at the public library in Perry, IA to warm up. Got a warm welcome from the librarian and I read magazines for about 45 minutes. After I warmed up, and as I prepared to leave the parking lot, a fella struck up a conversation. He owns a 2010 Voyager. Kind of cold that day, but I enjoyed the ride and the people I met.

Should have told me. I live in the next town over and on top of it, I was off Wednesday. :(

I have to work today. I did ride to work, but I don't get out until 4:30. :( .

Was able to ride to meet with a customer yesterday afternoon but rain was setting in again by the time I got done working for the day. Have only been able to get about 50-60 miles in so far this season.
