It was 54 degrees here last Saturday. My brother and I spent about 7 hours in the saddle, did not get cold at all. I have over 1000 miles in so far this season and the warmest it has been is 56. The extended forecast is for highs in the mid 50's and lows in the mid 30's. Sometimes in Minnesota riding season and winter overlap!

Thats pretty good if you have been able to log that many miles already. Here its been the coldest spring I can remember in years, I bet I don't have 50 miles on the bike yet, usually Ive already been riding about 3-4 weeks by this time.

I've done a little more than 700 since January.

Yeah well... I have done... Zero!!!

Seriously Gibby and Ponch... what are you guys, riding addicts or what? 54 degrees at best and you've ridden 1,000 and 700 miles? Heck, I am just now putting away the snowmobile!!

Just kidding, of course. Glad to hear someone had been. I have not ridden yet so far though. By this time last year I had been, but not this year.

As I mentioned, I'll get it out this weekend, then the addiction will start all over again.

Hey Greg,
I do believe that I am an addict. A couple of weeks ago I pulled into a little gas station and was filling up when a snowmobile pulled in at the pump next to me. The snowmobile rider got off of his sled, looked at me and shook his head. I said, WHAT! We both laughed and said "Only in Minnesota". Glad you will be able to get out soon. Enjoy.

I won't ride if there is ice or snow on the road. two wheels don't do so well under those circumstances.

That would have been a sight to see! LOL! Too bad there wasn't a picture. I would have loved to see it.

My back is starting to be tolerable, so I think I'll be out sometime in the next few days. At least I hope.

Well, I yanked the bike out of storage yesterday and rode it for the first time this year. Short ride; but today I put a couple hundred miles on it. My back seemed to be tolerable to it. I haven't quite recovered completely from injuring it yet; but am getting there.

We had 80+ degree weather here today... kind-of strange. Just happened all of a sudden.

Supposed to be the mother of all storm-fronts moving through later this evening and into the morning hours. Hopefully, it doesn't do any damage to anyone's property or people. The TV is constantly running warnings out ahead of this one; so they must think it will be dangerous. We'll certainly see soon enough.

Anyway guys... riding was good. So I'll keep doing my riding-therapy to get ready for the National!

Couple hundred miles? you'll catch up in no time.

I went for a short ride yesterday to a place that has decent tenderloin sandwiches. The Peru Bar & Grill in East Peru (pronounced Pee Roo). If you blink, you'll miss the town. Pretty good sandwich and man, do those beemer boys ride fast....

Afterwards I went to the Kawasaki dealer where I bought my Nomad, just to say hello. Checked out the Vaquero. The red one really is beautiful. It's a shame it's just a one up bike though and a real two up seat would kill the lines.

Except for a tornado or two touching down in the local vicinity, it's been real nice here. Been riding as much as possible to get the bum ready for the trek to Maggie Valley. Wish I didn't have to break "it" in every spring.

I'm riding south to Dry Ridge, KY on May 2nd. Then north to Michigan, then west to home sweet Iowa home. Can't hardly wait. Got my rain suit ready. BnG

finally had great weather on Sunday. A group of 5 bikes rode in temps of 80* My first sunburn of the year. YAHOO riding season has begun. 250 miles riding some great riads in Southern Indiana & never crossing the river into KY. There will be many more days to come in preparation of the ride to MV with people we have met & those that we have not yet met. Looking forward to seeing everybody in Columbus in June.

Thumbs up to you Gibby for putting all those miles on so far!
I guess I'm a wuss...I havn't had the bike out yet although I did put the battery in and fire it up. Waiting for the weather to change...last night we had a dusting of snow and a temp of 34 degrees right now. I love the vision of the snowmobile and motorcycle at the pump!

Well... the weekend weather bit the bullet around here, and I am sure in a lot of other places.

Cold, windy, rain and sleet.

Was windy as hell yesterday. I didn't ride as I had stuff to do around the house, same with today. I am basically a commuter for the most part anyway.

Did not ride today, it is very nice out about 71 a little windy. I opted to enjoy my 2nd past time next to riding play golf.
