Am I close enough....
...to the REAL THING to be considered an honorary bagger?
Well, I hope so. Although my ride is an '03 1600 Classic it is rigged out with hard bags, an MS batwing fairing and will soon have a tour pack, so it's a pretty good imitation of a gen-yoo-wine bagger IMHO, and I trust no one will be offended by my inclusion here.  Since the 1600 Classic and Nomad are pretty similar in basic mechanical ways I trust that the collective wisdom found here will be applicable to my scoot without too much translation. FWIW I also ride an '08 Suzuki DL650A V-Strom (the Wee-Strom as it's called by owners) which I use for "adventure touring" to places like Alaska...and when the roads around here and up in the Sierra get narrow or unpaved and the big beast might be a handful.
