Back From Luckenbach, TX

Just wanted to let all know I left last Thursday and headed over toward Texas. I made it to Monroe, LA that night. Spent the night and got up Friday morning and headed out again. Made it to my daughter's in Killeen Friday night.

Spent some time with my daughter and grand children. Got up Sunday morning and headed down to Fredericksburg to meet up with the Texas riders. We ate and talked and then headed down to Luckenbach for Chuck Burt's memorial.

I left Tuesday morning heading back to Alabama. Made it to Monroe that night and spent the night. Got up Wednesday morning and started out again. Got home last night about 11. Had to either dodge or wait out two or three rains. Finally put on the rain suit in Tuscaloosa, AL and headed north for home.

The best idea that hasn't happened yet is a windshield wiper. I could sure have used one for a few miles.

Good to be back home, sore butt and all. I logged over 2,000 miles. Would I do it again. Heck yea. Had a wonderful time.

Sounds like you had a great trip, and you can get a wiper on a Goldwing in Japan.

Gene did you go through Starkville MS yesterday if so I wish I had known I took my son his motorcycle yesterday he lives in Starkville maybe we could haven gotten together.
