It's not primer. It's paint and clear.

It might as well be or put it another way, someone could rub shit all over the bike and spray clearcoat and it would sell...To someone.

I have no idea whose bike this is and I'm sure they're happy with it. Just thought it made Ponch's point that someone somewhere like anything. I found the pic online.....

If the owner is happy, no harm done. I let my kids finger paint my Opel GT.

If those are his grandkids paint, he has adult grandkids painting his bikes, which quickly loses the cuteness factor lol

I believe that he has an 'Indian' theme on there. In the old western movies
sometimes the indians would paint there hands and then put there print on
the horse. Ya no, like branding.

I like the Orange, I agree the flames look way to tackey. The flat black, Not thanks, If I spend that kind of money I want that baby to sparkel like a diamond when I am done polishing it. So glad i pulled the trigger and bought the candy lime/black 2012 Vaquero. Never looking back, just more throttle forward.

Oh come on! An old triumph or other bike turned into a flat-black bobber looks great!!! You know... a can a spray paint... and there you have it... paint to cover all the chopping damage done to lighten the load.

When I am spending that much money, I want to see my reflection in the paint, no matter how scary it is. If I wanted an old school rat bike chopper, I'd build it myself. Too much of branding today is a surface treatment. There's no DNA to it. They could take a cardboard box, spray paint it and put a particular emblem on it and people believe whatever was intended, rather than seeing the charade.

Why are we so quick to judge everyone? "What was he thinking when he painted that bike?" Really? I have no idea who the guy is, but....

Maybe there's a very good reason why that guy has his Nomad painted that way. He looks a bit older so maybe his dear wife (of 50 years?) was dying and it's his and hers hand prints on the fairing. Maybe his dying wife had a scarf with the colors on the bags/fender and that was his way of remembering her. Maybe the spot light worked its way lose 10 seconds before the pic was taken. Maybe none of it happened this way but it's as much a possibility as anything else. And I've definitely seen some shittier paint jobs...on FACTORY bikes.

Not judging at all, its just my opinion. If he wants to be seen on a bike that looks like someone cleaned there paintbrush on it, thats totally his choice and fine with me.
Everyone has different tastes in what they think looks good.
