If I had an extra $175 to spend right now, I'd buy it. Looks like it would make a huge difference in looks. Interested in any trades?

Thats probably the best piece of chrome you can add to the bike, it makes a huge difference in the look of the motor.

Welcome to the forum, Skooter koot. I used to live down in Utah Valley. Miss the Utah mtns. Good luck finding your inner engine cover. The've all been picked clean. You're posting on an 2 year old thread.

I have that chrome inner piece in a box that I either bought or someone gave me..... I've had it for a couple of yrs.. Is there anything hard about installing it? .......take the chrome side cover off and the black inner piece will come off ?? Maybe that's why it's still in the box I got it in.

As you know the black piece will come with chrome when you take it off the bike. Look at the chrome inner piece that you have and you will see there are going to be more holes than the screws that hold the cover to the bike. That is because you have two or so extra holes that are for dowel pins that keep the inner and outer cover attached together. So when you take your old cover off you will have to tap on the outer chrome cover from the inside to separate the two pieces. Just make sure when you put the new part on the dowels are were they were before.
