Mine started out as C&C which is the make of a sailboat My wife and I have owned for years. I also have been involved in different forms of metal working for quite a long time. When I joined a machinist forum it would not let me use "&" in the forum name so I used CNC which is a bit misleading as to date nothing in the Hobbie machine shop I have in my basement is cnc'd.

When I joined another motorcycle forum years back I wanted something to indicate that I was Canadian. "Canuck" was already used by someone on that forum so I opted for "canuckrider". I now have that handle on 3 motorcycle forums.

I needed some type of name when I first started doing forums years ago. Desert Dog is how some Native Americans refer to a coyote. I liked that so just adapted it. I am Desert Dog on a number of different forums.
