I voted to check the really bad words. Of course a really bad word to some may not be that bad to others. That is where you, Trip , would have to make the desision. I have faith in you,you have done a great job on this forum so far I know someone said they are only words. I think the playground , as dakals calls it ,is where they should stay. I mean do we talk that way when we are in a mixed group ??? I hear some of these kids on the street today and I just want to slap them.
I honestly don't think it should be a forum where anything goes.
I think if we can't get our point across without being vulgar we need to improve our vocabulary ;)

I agree TC.......and thanks for the confidence. That's the reason why I had the third option on the poll. If it turns out that the majority wants to control only the bad words....then I'll have to determine what's bad vs good.

I'm not sure how we can worry about that when people are constantly posting porn on the site and nothing much is ever said about it.

My 2cw... I don't really care one way or the other. To be honest, I think that's what's wrong with America today...we're too damn afraid of what somebody else will think...and don't want to offend anybody!!! Words are just that...words.... we apply their meanings...so I don't care one way or the other personally.... My rule of thumb is simple....if it offends me...I don't go there/watch/talk to/or interact with it. My choice...

Hey, I just want to be able to tell someone to r3tard their timing and clean their petc0ck, and not have to resort to this annoying web-geek typing subterfuge to avoid having the grammar nanny goof up my posts. I think the moderators and other members can deal with vulgarity intelligently when and if it occurs. But I guess if we keep the vulgarity in its own virtual/digital ghetto where we don't have to look at it, we can pretend it doesn't exist?

I personally don't care about swearing or porno on the site (or in life) one way or another. I accept that it exists whether I enjoy it or not.

I'm not here to promote nudity or vulgarity or promiscuity or gambling or drug use or fornication or any other moral vice, and I'm not going to preach against them either. My focus is on the motorcycles. I'm just observing that we allow (IMO) much worse stuff than foul language.

There's a difference between admitting it exists in life today ( I'm not under a rock, I know it exists) It's clearly another to choose to be in that environment. I know that smoking exists today, but I choose the NON smoking areas. I have no problem with those that enjoy the porn swearing and whatever, It's their choice and there is a place for it ( lighter side). I understand you don't want to have to type petc0ck the way you do, but see it as a small inconvenience to keep the rest of what may start showing up there by others out of view for those that don't CHOOSE to swim in that environment. JMO which ain't worth nothin I'm sure.
