Thumbs Up Mother Whale Shows Off Baby

Amazing that a wild and very large creature would let her new calf get that close to humans.

Gene, the video is 63 seconds long, I thought it was quite interesting. I've been on over 20 whale watch tours out of Portsmouth, N.H. something like this would have been awesome.
I had to click on the arrow a couple of times to get it to play.

That would be cool to see. Not sure I would touch one though. I am a diver and one of my dreams is to dive with whale sharks. You cant touch them though. The oils on our skin are toxic to them.

My wife and I went on a whale watching tour from Tofino off the West coast of Vancouver Isalnd a few years ago. We saw several pods of whales but the closest that we got to any was probably about 50 yards. Even from that distance their size is mind boggling and they are an amazing creature to watch!
