Voyager saddlebag mount

Does anyone else have an issue with the front saddlebag bolt not lining up right? On the left bag of mine the front bolt (that goes into the crash bar) is off by about half a bolt hole, also the front bolt that goes into the saddlebag bracket is off as well. I also noticed that where the bag sits in the rubber pieces on the bottom, that the front one is not sitting flush, it's about 1/4 inch high. Thought I'd ask to see if anyone else has this issue before I start digging into it. Already tried another crash bar (before I knew that it wasn't sitting right) and that was actually further off.

I haven’t noticed mine being off but I always start the crashbar bolt first and then the other two.

Do you start with that bolt first? I would recommend loosening every bolt that secures the bags supports to the frame and re-adjusting.

What the other guys say... To be able to do those bolts up, the lid must of course be open. Having the lid open with the bolts not done up will mean the bag is twisted by the weight of the lid hanging on it's tether. The left bag is always worse, because the bike leans that way on the stand.

I bet if you take the weight off that tether by slightly closing the lid, that the holes will line up almost perfectly.

Yes, the crashbar bolt is the first one on. Yesterday I took the bar off, then put the bag on with the lid closed and it still is off the front the pad at the bottom, tho I admit I didn't look at the bolt holes. I'll also loosen and see what I how much adjustment I can get from the bag supports.

I always start the center bolt, then the back, then the front. I never do more than start them and move bag around slightly to get them all lined up. Once they are all in, then I tighten in the same sequence, center, rear, and front last.
