I met Barb nearly 3 years ago and we knew instantly that we were meant for each other. In the 3 summers that we have been riding together we have put on over 50,000 smiles together. As many of you know she has left hip problems and we have been trying to get her a new one. From high white blood cell counts to liver damage to many other things she still does not have a new hip. Last Friday we went to the clinic for blood work and they immediately checked her into the hospital for poor liver function. About 1:00 a.m. Sunday she needed to go to the bathroom and when she did she saw nothing but blood. She was bleeding internally, they went in and stopped the bleeding but she had already lost over half of her blood. They started giving her blood and plasma to thicken her blood. About 10:00 a.m. Sunday I was talking to the Dr. and she said she didn't expect her to make it through the day. I was crushed. She is a tough old broad and she has been very slowly getting better but it will be an uphill climb just to survive. I know many of you were wondering about her health so I thought I would give and update. Please hold the ones you love close, you never know what the future holds. Thanks for listening. Mike & Barb

Gibby I am at a loss here as I didn't know she was having problems.
We will include her in our prayers at night, hoping the best for her.

Mike, I am so sorry to hear this. Barb is so zestful and loud and full of life so much that no one would expect news like this. I don't expect anything but a full recovery from this. It's attitude that pulls people through things like this and if there's one thing Barb is brimming with it's attitude! Let her know that I'm praying for her recovery..

That's terrible news Mike.
Not where I thought your post was going by reading the first 2 sentences.
Tell Barb everyone on the forum has her in their prayers.
I hope everything turns out OK and she makes a full recovery.
