Daymaker Mod to my Vaquero complete.

Installed a Daymaker headlight and aux driving lights on my bike. Alot of dremel surgery but well worth it. Huge difference.

Looks good!

Should have the set I ordered delivered tomorrow.

When you say a lot of dremel surgery, do you mean other than the headlight ring? Just wondering how much, if any, I have to do to add the aux lights to the Vaquero. Seen plenty of videos on the actual headlight, but none on the other lights.

The headlight is easy. That took all of 45 minutes. You have to cut off the 2 tabs that hold the stock headlight in place then sandwich the harley adapter between the Stock chrome trim ring and the original headlight mount you just cut the tabs off of and bolt together.

The Aux lights were way more involved. Basically have to destroy the stock aux lights and cut them up, then grind out the mirror finish inside the light and till the front locking ring fits around the new daymaker aux light. If you go on Facebook, the Customer Vaquero Owners Group and search Daymaker, there is a detailed video on how to do it.

Thanks!

Since I don't have any mounts, not sure what all I'll be getting in to.

That looks sharp, Ken. I was wondering what brand those are and where you bought them. I've been toying with the idea on my Voyager. I seen LX - lights on Amazon. It's a daymaker light set including a 7" headlight and 4 1/2" foglights for $130. Anyone else seen or used this light set?

Those are exactly the light I bought off of Amazon, Lx-Lights. Super bright and I have gotten a lot of compliments on how they look on the Vaq. I also feel way more confident riding at night. They blaze a path way in front of you and across the entire road, but in a focused beam, not just scattered across the road like when you only change to an LED bulb.

It is "Custom Vaquero Nation" , on facebook. You have to join, then you can watch the vid. Very detailed and some funny stuff mixed in. Looks a bit scary, but he did a good job putting the fear in you so you do not screw it up. Very straight forwardly presented. Simple terms that even I can understand.

Got the lights shipped, now just waiting for it to warm up to put them in. May even wait a little longer to get some before and after pics with the gopro.

Got the lights in. Looks like the headlight is a no brainer. The driving lights are going to be a challenge. No rings or mounts came with them. Guess I'll head over to ebay and look at a used set they might fit into.

And it's finally warm enough to get it done too.

Greetings,
I have the superbright LED headlight and an adpater adjustment ring. I am wondering how people are mounting the adjustment ring to the stock mounting ring. Bolt it? Have a couple of tack welds dropped in ?
Since it is record cold and the garage is not heated, have until it gets a little warmer to plan my atack.
Your thoughts and input welcomed.

Ride safe,
Smokier

Greg Millsape's Video shows 3 bolts and nylon nuts using 7 washers as spacers between each of the 3 bolts, on the adjustment ring and the stock ring that had to be cut.

Is that what you were asking?? Looks Like that is what I will do.
