I stared this day at 6:am riding in the dark with misty fog. 2 1/2 hours into my ride the sun was peaking through the clouds and I thought this is going to be a beautiful day. As I got closer to Talihina the clouds returned and you can see what happens as we road the Talimena trail. It was still a great day riding with friends. 6:am to 6:45pm, 525 miles of fun.

I almost forgot....... thanks for the video Trip!!!!

Great Video Trip. It was a bit spooky riding Talimena in those conditions.
If you were at the Antlers rally a few years ago when the mountain was in the clouds you know what I mean.
Conditions yesterday were worse for most of the ride.

The clouds were low and Winding Stair and Rich Mountain managed to stop them.
At some places you couldn't see 50 feet in front of you.
But where you could the fall colors were great. We got off the mountain on AR 272.
The part of the video where it appears to be raining. I guess it was a little.
Once down in the valley we were below the clouds and it was clear sailing.
I had a blast.

Most days on the motorcycle are good, it was better at lower elevation this day. Light fog most of the way down and just before we got to the Talimena trail it cleared up. I thought it's going to be a great ride. Coffee at Talihina and back up the trail. Once we got on top most of the ride to the lodge was just trying to see the taillight in front of you.

I've never experienced that much traffic on the trail before. LOTS of bikes and cars on the pullouts and I know they weren't looking at the scenery.

Still it was a good day to ride with friends. Thanks Trip, for the video.
