We do ALOT of FI system servicing due to owners allowing the skoots to sit for extended periods and the gas goin bad. Pressure cleaning injectors, puling pumps apart to purge and back flushing the filter works on most skoots just fine. RACNRAY

I believe as stated it is an integral part of the fuel pump.

Invest in a service manual, it will be the best money you can spend.

I have a service manual.
I have a service manual Jack. I just happen to be at work looking at a parts site and could not find it. This is my first fuel injected bike in 40 years of riding. Nearly everything except small lawn equipment has a filter. That's why I come to this site-to be informed. Thanks

Fuel filter is integral to the fuel pump/gauge sending unit in the tank. "supposedly" not serviceable. The service manual makes no mention of any need to replace it or clean it. I default to Racin' Ray (above) for his expertise.

The fuel pump assemblies all can be disassembled, haven't run across a unit that can't. So far the only time I have seen the need for filter servicing is on skoots with rust inside the tanks, not good!!
We have to kinda silently trust the gas we are getting is clean with minimal contaminants. We have actually seen more clogging of the fuel pump pick-up screen than the filter itself. Here is the p/up screen from a ZX6 that sat for over a year...there was no rust in the tank... bottom of the screen... top of the screen... bottom of the screen cleaned... top of the screen cleaned... This is what we have seen in the past, the gas today has no long term storage capability. RACNRAY
