When I got my Voyager (used), part of the deal was they they put new tires on. They put on the recommended Bridgestones. Lousy wear mileage, but they felt good in curves and rain, and were much, much better than MCIIs on tar snakes. I don't have a lot of confidence in the MCIIs on tar snakes in high summer heat. Rain grip is OK, but not awesome. Lot's of tar snakes in Georgia, especially in the mountain areas I ride. I'll forgo some mileage to get better grip. Maybe the Cruisetec line will fall somewhere in the middle, which would be fine for me.

From what I've read, Shinkos have similar grip, and a little bit better life than Bridgestones, but they are MUCH less $$$, so I may give the 777 HDs a try next while I wait to see how the Cruisetecs do. Then again, it's going to be a while before I can do any riding. Maybe there will be some reports on the Cruisetecs by late summer/ fall next year. :(

DennisKirk has the new CruiseTec tires listed on their site, ufda, with a nice price tag to boot!
https://www.denniskirk.com/metzeler/...pfp545636.prdf

Can get MC II's or Metzler ME888 Utlra for near 1/2 the money.
Unless Uncle Sam is extra good, it'll wont be the Cruistecs for me.

Ride safer,
Smokier

Exclamation Mark Price alert - price drop

Greetings,

Dennis Kirk has significantly dropped the price of the new CRUISETEC line of tires!

https://www.denniskirk.com/metzeler/...pfp545636.prdf

I did pull the trigger this morning.

Rear 180/70-16 Radial $218
Free shipping (ok, 2x$5 "tire fee"=$10)

Ride safe,
Smokier

Following - I've always wanted to say that.

Well I've been a Dunlop American Elite Guy for several tire changes. My second choice is the Metzler 888.. I just may have to research these after you guys put some miles on them.
