Baron air filter leg contact

Now that I've fitted the Pacifco fairing onto my VN1600 Classic, my contact to the Baron air filter is even more evident. I like the looks of the Baron, but it projects out so far to cause me to hold my right leg out more on the floorboard to limit contact. I'm thinking or changing back to a simple round air cleaner. Anyone else find it similar on your bike with a Baron air intake.
