Heading to California

I'll be heading to Avila Beach in December.I'll be there for about 2 1/2 - 3 months.
First thing is,I'll need a place to stay. Anyone know about coorporate or temp housing in the area?
Second- on a scale of 1-10,what would be a "must see"on 2 wheels?
Any additional info on the area would be greatly appreciated as well.

OK, you have great riding there. Ride up the California Coast Hi-way 1 to Monterey. I believe the sign says 92 miles CURVES ahead. The hi-way is cut out of 500 foot cliffs over looking the Pacific Ocean. Continue on over to Hollister & ride hi-way 25 back to 198. The locals call this the angry snake road. Make a right turn on 198 & it takes you back to 101. This would be a full day of hard riding or a easy 2 day ride.

Here in Nor-Cal we try to do a monthly run.

I'd never heard of Avila Beach and I had to look it up on Google, but that is a beautiful area. I know I've been through there before, I must have missed the sign or something. It isn't too far from Hearst Castle.

I'm going to be working at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Station for a few months and plan on getting as much riding in as I can.
I'm trying to find a place to stay in the area, but I'm not having much luck finding anything furnished.

Stayed there last summer for a week at a real nice place. totally secluded cove like a miniature Catalina Island with restaurants, good drink. Nice riding north of that. Slightly further inland maybe 2 miles is camping. Beautiful area.

No offense, but as long as they ride and have a sense of humor,I don't care.
(if they show up on a candy pink bike in pink and purple leathers,I'm going to laugh though.)
