Mid-winter get together

I'm thinking about planning a get together in the middle of the winter. Maybe in January or February. A good center location where there is no snow would be Vegas.

How many would be interested in getting together, possibly meeting in Vegas, and riding? I'm completely open to any ideas or input. I was thinking it would be fun to go out to Death Valley or to cross the new Hoover Dam?

Most want to save their vacation time for the summer, so this would be a quick trip, maybe over a three day weekend?

What do you guys think? Anyone interested?

It would be a long trip for me Jared. Also, January and February are generally times I am on the road much of the time.

Count me in. I mean we're talking Las Vegas, right?? Couldn't hardly pass that up. Lot's of places to ride around here. Just let me know.

Doubt I could pull off riding down then, but I tend to work in Vegas a lot, so I fly in and out fairly regularly. I may be able to meet up to say hello and be totally jealous of you guys as you ride away. :)
Or possibly I could rent a bike.

I'd be interested if the timing was right and I'm not on call for work. January and February are the coldest months down here. As long as I can ride there and back, it would be okay.

And Jared, Hoover Dam is 75 years old.

Death Valley, Mohave N.P., Route 66 & Hoover Dam/Bridge are all day rides. I could throw in Mt. Charleston but in the Winter I just as soon see it from the Valley.

What the new dam that's down in that area then?

There is no "new" dam. They just completed the Hoover Dam bypass bridge, though.

Any thoughts on potential weekends or range of weekends that this might be considered?

Mid-winter get together

Well, my wife is expecting our first in the middle of February. After that, who knows if I'll ever ride again. ;)

I'd prefer to do it in the middle of January or toward the end of March.

What dates would be best for everyone else?
