Mesh Chrome radiator Cover

I am looking for a MESH chrome radiator cover for an 08 1600. Seems like all that is available for the 1600 are these damn design covers with arrows and such cut out of the chrome.

I like the look of the mesh style, and they are easy to find for the Vulcan 900, etc., but nothing for the 1600 Nomad. I am getting to the point where I might take the stock cover somewhere to have it dipped in chrome, but that is really expensive.

If anyone has any idea, or maybe even seen one somewhere, I would really appreciate the heads up.

Thanks,

Brian

Check out covers for the 1600 mean streak. I hear those will fit, but I've been too busy spending money on other parts to get to that on my list yet. :)

If you decide to get your stock mesh cover chromed, the link below brings you to a good location to have it done. Bob and Brenda Coleman do really good work and are great people to deal with. He rides a beautiful Drifter.

Excellent, the Show Chrome is the one that I want, but I didn't think that it will fit. Now that I know the Mean Streak rad is the same I will go ahead and order this.

I have a list of about 20 chrome parts that I want to get, and this being the biggest piece I thought I would get it first.

Thanks a lot everyone.

Strobe~

You say that you order par 81-104, but the cruisercustomizing link that you sent says that it is part number 81-103, is that correct.

Also, Dennis Kirk will beat any price by 1$, and they ship faster than CC. Can you verify that the following part on the Dennis Kirk site is the same and that it will fit the 2008 Nomad 1600.

http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/pr...mmyId=#fitment

Thanks.

Not recommneding CC, just showing the product. Get it where you can get the best price by all means!

There is a difference, I grabbed the wrong part number. The one you want is 81-103 if you want mesh. Check the Big Bike Parts (Show Chrome Accessories) site to be 100% sure.

89-103:

89-104:

Mesh Chrome radiator Cover

Just an Update...

Installed the Show Chrome part 103 Mesh Radiator cover, and WOW...what a big difference. I highly recommend everyone who like extra chrome on thier bike to get this part. It fits perfect (even though made for the Meanies), and installed in about 5 minutes. I can't get over the difference that it makes. Looks great between the stock chrome crash bars!

Couldn't be happier, unless the cover was a little less expensive.

Looks like the correct part number, but the years they have listed for the models doesn't seem to go past 2005. I assume that this is the correct part. Wish I knew about this site before I ordered mine!!

I already ordered mine from www.cruisercustomizing.com. I knew it wasn't the best price, but I didn't realize how badly I was getting screwed. I can ship mine back, along with some other goodies, and still come out way ahead using cyclegiant.

Pays to shop around/ask others on the forum, huh? ???

Yes Doc, it fits. Its not identical to the stock grill but everything lines up great and once its on you can't tell. I'm happy with it.
