fuel pump

:( have 76000 miles on my 01. Started having starting problems and smelled like gas. Finally occurred to me maybe I should check the fuel filter. Took it to my "mech-nech" and not only is my filter plugged but the fuel pump was cracked. Fuel pumps are not cheap. Other than having to replace the clutch plate twice the ol girl has been a dream and I plan on keeping it for a long time to come.

fuel pump

...When I rolled my 01 out this spring, she had 7,600 miles on her. Guess I got a ways to go to catch up. ...tough luck on the fuel pump. I've heard they ain't cheap.

fuel pump

You might find a good used one at a MC junkyard. If a tank gets dented up on a low mileage Nomad, the pump should still be in great shape 99% of the time. You can probably get a great price too. I bought a driveshaft that sells for almost $300 at Kawasaki for $30 + shipping, and I did it all on-line too. Check out the guys parting Nomads out on eBay too.
