Waving 2010 VN1700 Engine Noise?

Hello, I have a 2010 VN1700 with 16,000 miles, This has been happening for a while but i feel like its gotten louder i dont know if this is normal and its just me bieng paranoid, but Im getting some noises that i can only describe or seem to believe they are engine related at certain RPM/Speed, THe noise doesnt seem to be Rotational noise like its a Lifter or Engine part knocking or anything because the Freqency of the noise doesnt seem to change with slight changes in RPM, Its more of a High pitch noise with a little bit of chatter that happens ony at certain speeds, Primarily at 60MPH, it begins at about 57MPH, becomes loudest at 63, and by about 68-70 its going away. But at 60 its pretty noticable to me at least, Wanted to know if anyone experienced the same, I do alot of riding at 60MPH but the bike was broken in properly, it was broken in at a constant speed. Wondered if that could be any part of it? Other then that bike runs great!! Wondered if anyone has experienced this or think i need to get it into a shop to be looked at?
Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks.

I get a humming noise from the belt around 30-40, but thats it. I have a 2012 Voyager with about 14,900 miles and will be checking the belt this weekend along with other service.

Ive seen alot of complaints on here about things with the belt, ive always wondered if that was it, but i swear it sounds like its up front by the engine, but ears deceive, it could be belt related, Seems weird it has gotten worse, Maybe i should play with a couple different belt tensions and see if it makes any difference

Time to get a torque wrench & repair manual and check every bolt on the bike.

It's the belt. The noise travels. Mine does that occasionally. I think it's more temp related than anything. On a nice cool day I never hear it but on a hot sunny day I do.

..Dont forget the cooling fan cycles automatically...making a whine.

Even wind at certain speed might be "whistling" thru something...If it's tire noise..any pavement patch would change that sound..

Good Luck..and post a update when you find the cause.

Hey Mitch it sounds like we are experiencing the same thing. When I pull in the clutch and throttle back noise goes away. As well the noise isn't there when first off and everything is relatively cool. I'm thinking that it has to do with the front sprocket and belt. Not sure what to do about this though. Ideas???
