Future meet and greet - Page 5

Hey guys; so far it seems we are centered on Sept 27th as the date. This sounds like we are going to be able actually get some of us together; which is great. This ride will be one of only few that KawaNOW members have been able to put together this year.

Galena is the destination city; we can solidify exact location to meet as we get closer. It appears thus far the following have expressed an interest in doing this:

roadman
01Nomad
abbo
stretch1968

I saw another member from Beloit, WI that I will see if they are interested. I know there are a few others within "range" of this ride.

Gentlemen I will be there in spirit. I am in the middle of getting the trailer and bike and gear planning stage for the week long vacation to the National rally. Cant get away to go out of town much less out of state. Find a picture of the most handsome man that you can and paste it to a chair and there I will be. In spirit.

:) Ok, now we just need to set up some meet times for the 27th... I will be back from my St Jude Peoria to Memphis ride and hope to be still able to ride (1000 mile roundtrip I am guessing)

I was wondering if you would still be up for it given the 1,000+ mile ride you'll be doing just the week before!!!

I can be in Galena at any time you guys say.

Your distance is around 162 miles from Peoria going to the Quad-cities and then up the Great River Road on the Illinois side.

The earlier you guys get there the better -- more time to take a short cruise around a couple backroads to see some of the sights and to grab something to eat before heading-back.

Sunrise for Galena, IL on the 27th is 6:55am / Sunset 6:49pm Basically; we have 12 hours of daylight on the 27th.

You guys let me know once you decide who is going and at what time you'll be there; then I will plan accordingly.

My wife talked about going...but if it gets to cool she won't go.
Once we set the time and place,scion and i can set up a time and place to meet stretch so he can ride up with us.

I ordered the mustang seat for the nomad.....scino did they ship your seat out yet?I hope i get to break it in before the 27th

My wife will be going with me; so if any of you can convince your's to come along; please do. The more the merrier.

I will look for the post on your departure and ETA to plan my trip accordingly.

As we get closer we should PM each other on cell phone numbers so we can double-ck on each other that day -- just in case confusion occurs or any other difficulties. (I believe I have Scion0's.)

Roadman; get her some inexpensive chaps; leather coat, and gloves. Your wife will feel comfortable. There is a good chance the weather will be perfect anyway.

Lightbar? Mustang seats? Man you guys are going to show me up!!! (Just a plain 'ole' '04 1500 FI Nomad here. Nothing fancier than that is it for me thus far.)
