Short ride

It has been almost two weeks since I took the bike out for a ride. Today after work I managed to go out for a short 50mile ride. It was cool and foggy but worth every penny. I hope some of you managed to ride some , if not hope you do this weekend

It was a cool 37 when I was riding today but it is supposed to get to 50 in a weeks time.

I'll be out around late April. My son in Macedon, N.Y. went for a short ride
on his new to him Nomad Wednesday night, says he just loves the bike.
Glad to see people still get excited about a new toy! Rasta ride all you can
for those of us that are snow and iced in.

Sure hope you enjoyed your ride Amin. I am not snow or iced or temperature held in. Here in the Twin Cities they go CRAZY with the salt. As much as I love riding it just is not worth the risk. If it gets to be more than I can handle my wife and I will fly to Las Vegas and rent a bike for a few days.

I'm suffering along with you Gibby, it's called PMS - parked motorcycle syndrom. Just waiting for the IMS show to begin in 8 weeks and 6 days (but who's counting).

Well Rasta...you made me cry...those photo's certainly show Iowa..on a good day in winter !..I'v seen that flat icy road a thousand times from a 18 wheeler, and a few times as I ferried a crop duster across the great plains in winter...but managed to avoid it on my bike !
Enjoy your rides...I'm off my Big Assed Bike, due to "surgical-damage" ...However I maintain high hope's for riding by next spring !

I am glad I could bring back such wonderful memories that it brought you to tears ....wait a sec I think you are actually feeling bad for us that's why you are crying. Well so far so good...went on a 150mile ride today but the last 50 was spent taking pictures along the way of old barns. Colder than yesterday but sunny day. Wish you well in your recovery

Gibby, yes its nice to be out and about on the bike. I don't blame you, you have a high dollar ride, unlike me so I wouldn't want salt on that thing either. Cant afford to fly out to Vegas and then rent a bike so I will try and enjoy as much as I can before I have to put it away.

Loafer, congratulations to your son on his new to him ride!! Make sure to tell him about this place

This is corn county so lots of old barns everywhere you go. When riding 2up and the wife has the camera I point at a barn wanting her to take a picture of it. She might take one or two and feels that's good enough. She does not see the beauty of them like I do I just slowed down long enough yesterday to snap some of them before dark as you saw on facebook.
I did see Todds new member intro. He seems to be enjoying the ride. You guys are second father and son combo that I know of on this forum

Parked Motorcycle Syndrome yep I'm feeling that alright. It's just to much of a hassle dealing with salt residue. Mid March hopefully. Get the riding in while you can.
