Chrome levers? Why not chrome reservoirs?
Picked these up on ebay. They appear to be of good quality so far and I think they look so much better than the factory levers. Now I think the reservoirs need to be polished.....does it ever end?.... The pic doesn't do justice.
Has anyone ever polished their reservoirs? If so what was the result? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1987-2008-Ka...GOd_KQ&vxp=mtr Login or Register to Remove Ads |

What to do for the reservoirs when the pretty is coming off? I've been thinking of putting a buffing pad to them. I've tried rubbing spots by hand with little luck. My curiosity is peeked as I am not ready to end up with a ugly neck tie........
So if there is something that works or a direction to go I'm all in. |

I actually have those same levers, had them about 3 years now, and they are holding up well. I tried those clam shell switch covers, and the chrome started peeling off in less than a year. On the reservoir covers, I have the clutch and brake covers like this one http://www.kuryakyn.com/products/746...ylinder-covers and they've been on longer than the levers.

Sand them down incrementally.
The buff with several different compounds. They'll end up looking better than chrome. The levers will polish up nicely, too.
