Air adjust shocks
2011 VN1700 Nomad, How do you know if the seals are blown in the air adjust shock? The ride isn't springy/bouncy, but I can't tell is the shocks are holding air. Maybe it's my gauge releasing the air when I check them?

Thanks guys. I'll get a zero loss pump and go from there.

If you have an air compressor with the adjustable out put pressure set it where you want your pressure to be and pump up a tire with it and check it's accuracy if it's close or dead on. Just stick the hose on the fitting and pull it right back off. Works for me with my little compressor I use for air nailers and such. If you don't have one ,a zero loss pump is the cheapest Rte.
Chuck A from this forum taught me that trick, works well too.

Just be extremely careful using a compressor.
Even with the regulator set to x number of lbs it is still possible to over inflate and blow the seals.

Yep , that's why I check it on my bicycle tire first, inner tubes are cheaper than shocks if something goes wrong.

for the cost of a zero-loss pump, why chance anything else?
