The writing was on the wall years ago. Big Fat Thousand pound beasts will someday go the way of the Dinosaur. The generations that love these beasts , are aging and fewer and fewer younger ones are stepping up to the plate. They would rather ride a bike that goes 180 mph, weighs 500 lbs less, and gets 60 miles to the gallon. Oh and in many cases cost less too. Their kids are going to be riding electric bikes. Harley is trying to get younger ones interested, but they need to put in more effort if they want to survive.

IMHO

There was a time when people got into motorcycling because motorcycles were cheaper than a car. With many motorcycles now costing more than a car and using more gas than a car its not surprising that a millennial's first mode of transport is a car so most of them never get to experience the enjoyment of motorcycling.

Yah, what ya'll said. Was in a dealer Sunday and flipped a few price tags around. Like new pickup trucks, I just thought "who the hell makes enough money to by these things?!"

There is no substitute for laminar flow in which a helmet is the primary disturbance.
