Thanks, I took It. Now I can send mine out to Ivan and still keep riding.

I have a 2016 so I don't think I can run it stock, I have the O2 Sensor. Which means I will have to pay Ivan 2X ???? Yes ? NO ?

Watch for it back on sale after I'm Done with it. I will Pay it forward at the same price + Ivanizing. So if any of you missed the sale, Stay Tuned. It will return.

Thanks Smokier

ecu part numbers

when you talk to Ivan, ask if an ECU from a older bike will work on a newer bike after he reflashes it. the ECU you bought is for a 2010. the part number for your ECU is different for a 2016. just wondering out loud...... maybe something I might do also if, it works.

Good call Rozie.
After Ivanizing, the O2 isnt used. So either should be workable in MBarr's situation after Ivanizing (As I understand it...). Checking with Iavn is the right answer.

MBarr, I wonder if the group should own a spare for any DEALER who might be inclined to hold up a warranty due to a modified ECU.

Not all of us can Ride to Lavern's... I'd put $50 in on it, would be a cheap insurance policy.

You probably would need 2 spare, one for the years that have the O2 sensor and one that does not.

Taking this a little further - you could have some seed stock ECU's that could be sent to IVAN so members would not be out an ECU while they send it for upgrade.

Lucky for me my dealer is one of the good one's - He himself has an Ivan upgraded Vaquero and he actually sent my ECU to Ivan for the Re Flash the first time.

Good Luck on your entrepreneurial venture.

ecu part numbers

Ive compiled a list of ecu part numbers from Ron Ayers web site. this should help any one looking for a spare one.
ecu# 21175-0721 2010 voyager
21175-0339 2011,12,13,14 voyager/vaquero abs
21175-0927 2015,16,17 voyager/vaquero abs

the part numbers are the same with or with out abs brakes.
if some one is going to get there ecu reflashed, could you please ask Ivan if you can interchange ecu`s with different part numbers after a reflash.

I Am Hoping the part #s are different due to the programming and not a different Unit.

I already have a buyer for the 2010 ECU, selling it at cost to him. But His current one will be out there for the same price I paid yesterday. From a trustworthy source.
So there is some time to plan for other uses for it. VBA Loaner/ SEED Stock? or what ever.
Of Course this is all contingent on the Part #s being interchangeable. ( Plan A ) I will check with Ivan Monday Or Tuesday.

if the harness plug fits, and the connecting pins on each ECU are the same count, then the only difference should be is the programming. and Ivan can fix that.

Just got home from work, emptied the water out of my boots( pouring rain) But it got me thinking. (Had to do something to take my mind off the rain.) If I can Run the 2010 ECU with my O2 unplugged. then I can send mine in for the Flash and I will still have a stock ECU. But since I sold it, I can send it into Ivan and have him call the buyer for payment and ship it straight to him. WIN WIN Then His old stock unit will be out there for use.( Plan B)

Yes Rozie, If the pins line up, Damn I never thought of that. But since it is a KAWI, they don't change much in low volume bikes. It is not cost efficient.
I'm not taking that 5$ bet MrMikey.
