Lightweight, means easy to pull out of a hedge mate. Being an ex pat,and having rode in & out of ditches on English roads.I reckon you get the picture.

Footnote.Despite all the self inflicted problems that i have cuased my bke.The fucker has allways got me where i needed to be.

A sportbike will stomp mine, but I'd rather ride mine for ergonomics. It does almost everything well. That's the joy of the sport tourer I suppose.

I am not sure why it's noisier. Maybe it's the stock windscreen. He messaged me about a replacement. The stocker is made for someone 5'10 and 175lbs and if the rider is taller and or wider, it's not going to work so well and there will be wind noise. Engine wise, it's very quiet. Quieter than my stock Nomad.

The R1200RT is a nice bike...but this was a bit of a surprise because I thought Cliff was leaning towards the K1600.

The 1200 is lighter and the 2014 and newer seem to have fewer problems than the K1600

Color? We need pics.

He bought a 2009 RTP, which is the police version. I’m sure he’ll be along shortly with the details.
