GOOD GOD !! ... today the 29th of MAY ....Me and ole #4 been laying in the house for close to 2 weeks damn near dead..from what we thought was "the flu"
Today I discovered the brand new Swamp-Cooler I installed a couple months ago, has some chemically treated straw filters in it...they had turned to some sort of GOO and that was being pumped in the house with the cooled air...and we've been breathing that crap !

I staggered out and cleaned the cooler out...and we are both already much better !...

YAHOOOO I may actually see ya out there, some where, in the wind...this summer :>)
I waz beginnin to think I had come to the end of the line !

Well the wife didn't feel like going anywhere today and weather was perfect. nursing a little hangover from last nights festivities I guess. So I took my daughter for a relaxing ride. All back country roads to a little town about 35 miles north, where we sat outside of an old fashioned ice cream parlor eating on waffle cones and watching the small town traffic pass by. Came home through the woods and farm lands and kept the engine at a slow steady lope while the sun was setting. One of the most peaceful rides and evenings I've had for a long time. Here's hoping for a repeat performance next week.

I haven't been able to ride for the last 3 weeks due to bike being down. Finally found and repaired the problem and will take her out today after finishing up some yard work.

Another vulcan rider and myself headed north to Indian lake and enjoyed a great grilled 16oz steak at a pub in a nearby town. Then we lazily circled the lake and made our way back south through the country. 148 miles and 6hrs of fun an sun and nowhere inparticular to be. Damn that steak was good!

Changed the oil, filter and air filter and fired the big red girl up. Man she sounds good. Biggest challenge was navigating down my long muddy dirt/gravel driveway. Took a 33 mile round trip cruise through Columbus and the rolling hills of Colorado county. Stopped for a herd of deer crossing and then back to the muddy driveway. I usually ride with my brother but he's at his son's wedding in north Colorado. I'm saving my pennies for a trike so my lovely bride can cruise with me. Many of the cruise bikers around here are retired and only ride during the week. I've got another 5 years or so before I get that privelige. I cage it to work in Houston due to the heavy traffic and whack job drivers on several major highways to get to the Northeast side.

Well I did 280 miles today. What started out as a leisurely ride almost turned into disaster. A truck pulling a trailer turned left right in front of me she realized what she had done and stopped across the road and I did the O crap this is going to be bad thought. Emergency braking and trying to keep the bike in a straight upright position while climbing the brakes for all they were worth. Managed to get her stopped about 4 feet from the other vehicle. Buddy that was trailing me almost went into the back of me. Had to stop and let the nerves settle for a while and my buddy said I don't know how you managed to stay on top of the bike. Told him I knew if the bike started over there would be no stopping the inevitable collision and just did everything I could to stay on top of it. Wasn't my day Thank God.

Glad you're ok Don. 280 miles, don't sound like ya got slowed down by it much. Must have had a good day all n' all.

Let me know if ya wanna try again to get down to Tony's. Maybe our schedules will mesh next time. They say the 3rd times a charm.

425 kms north east to the interior of British Columbia. Mostly highway, a few of kms. of dirt. That bike seems to run smoother every time I go on a long haul ... " maybe it's good for the bikes soul"

280 miles today. Cruised up the Marble head on Lake Erie and had walleye dinner with coleslaw and fair style fries with malt vinegar and a tall iced tea. weather was perfect going up but the sky's let loose coming back. Got plenty wet and the bike is in need of a serious cleaning now but the ride was great. No complaints.

Yep, been working 6 to 7 days a week for the last 2 months, a couple of weeks ago said the hell with it taking an extended long weekend, booked four different hotels and planned a ride from home to Timmins then to Wawa up at Lake Superior over to Sudbury and then back home, a round trip of around 1900 kms plus touring around at hotels, sounds great. I get up this morning for work, wife says its suppose to rain on Sunday and Monday [ showers] and she wants to take the car. F***ING lovely. Have a great weekend guys

Yep it would have been a good ride if we took the bike like I wanted to. What burns my back side the most is for all the rain that was suppose to happen on the weekend we ran into about 5 minutes of it on Sunday morning and nothing else, next time the wife stays home
