Those really look good. OK, I have a Harley Tourpak (just added the speaker pods), WO Custom Fairing and if I add the pods, do I have a Vulcan Ultra Nomad?

Did you notice much difference in bottom air to the helmet area? I made a set of larger lowers that helped and I have engine guard chaps that helped with that too but I found them a little too warm in summer.

I already have the lowers on mine, but yours look really good and the price is far better than the Premeux brand. Good luck with your enterprise! I love the vents in them.

I have the highway pegs mounted on my crash bar and they fit well for me. Depending on how you angle the pegs when attaching them to the crashbar the clamp MAY touch the lowers, I have my clamps clearing the lowers by about !/8".

I mentioned in another post somewhere that I rarely use the glove boxes, but I think they are a great idea and wouldn't want to not have them. I think they make the lowers look finished a lot nicer. I use the LH box to store the compressor for my air horns and relay. It fits really nice in there and still leaves plenty of room.
These glove boxes are also an ideal spot to mount a couple of speakers as well. Perhaps you could come up with a speaker opening that would replace the door on the boxes. HD makes an adapter that converts the boxes to speaker enclosures and they sound pretty good when installed. You could take a look and see what Im talking about. Im going to try and come up with some speaker adapters for my lowers perhaps later this season, since Id like another pair os speakers on the bike.

Like any custom work, you should mount and make sure no adjustment needed then remove properly prep and paint.

Here's mine, finished up last week. They are quite nice and the Color-Rite paint in the aerosol does a good job along with sanding, priming and clearcoating. The lowers fit beautifully:

I did not get the glove boxes, but I can see where they could be handy. The lowers fit as well as you could hope for - of course they are made to fit the Nomad stock highway bar. The price on these is great compared to other offerings and just doing the paint on the outside of the front piece is not too bad, even for me. This was a very good purchase that I will recommend to my Nomad riding friends.

Need to wait a couple of months then I'll be ready to purchase a set and make mine an "Ultra Nomad" too!

All I need now is the trunk and fairing for my Nomad Ultra - I think they will both happen this year.
