Well if you got that issue 2nd gear usually goes and since I got a chance last month to get an 03 Nomad with 30k on it I went through everyone's ideas and found shift fork were fine but my main bearing was frozen 2nd gear was stripped and my 2 cams were worn from the last owner $1100 in parts and some parts are on backorder. I hopefully will have it together in two weeks to then get tires as this bike was not taken care of. Used new engine 1200 to 1800. You just need a great bike guy in your corner to avoid issues
