Broken headlight bracket
Since I bought my Vaq I've been reading a lot of threads about the rattles and vibrations at the front end of the bike . I noticed that I had a lot . I went down to the local CT and bought a roll of black weather stripping . I took some time on Monday to pull the fairing off and tie down some loose wires and tighten the bolts here and there .
Now for the kicker . I noticed the headlight was vibrating like crazy . When I pulled the fairing I found the headlight bracket was broken on both sides at the same place . Since it was only $45 I went ahead and ordered a new one . Has anyone else had this problem ? Funny it would break at the same spot on both sides . I'm probably just going to weld it back together and keep it as a spare . Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I can't argue with you on that . Some of those back roads have the nicest scenery but will rattle your fillings out if you can't find that sweet spot in the road .

I bought some Race-Tech springs and emulators and after "tuning" it, the road reflectors that used to cause my faring to shudder, are not felt at all. I also went to the dark side on the rear and that softened the back end up a bunch. Just food for thought.
