Thanks all Thanks Ballbreaker. Think I am doing great today probably be out of chair. Can not wait to get my bike and start the rebuild to better than it was before and all new look paint scheme and so on.

People assumed I would give up riding but I remember being on back end of tailgate pick up right after accident and saying to one of the great people who stopped and helped me out would I give it up. I said put that puppy right side up and I am gone if I could.

It is in my blood and in allot of our blood of people who are involved in this forum and I am sure allot are like me. I could never dream of taking a car on holidays just not me. Cars are for going to the food store not for holidays.

God I cannot wait to find a new road and get this bike back on road or maybe a new one it this cannot be repaired.

It will be an interesting few months for sure to come.

Dave,
Sorry to hear of your accident. Just glad to hear that you came out of it relatively well, especially considering that you went down at 100 kph! The main thing is that you are on the mend; the bike can be repaired of replaced.

I hear you, brother! After my "mishap" my wife asked if I was would quit riding. My answer: "Hell no, why would I?"

Just a word of advice. Your insurance company will use an estimate for repairs using brand new Kawasaki parts so likely the bike will be a write-off. Depending what they come up with a settlement and what they want for the bike as salvage it may pay to buy the bike back and repair it yourself with used parts wherever you can. That's assuming no major damage to the frame and forks.
