New Vaquero Owner

Hello everyone! Thanks for the add. I bought my 2011 late last year after having a Shadow ACE 750 for 14 years. I wanted to upgrade to a bigger bike and settled on the Vaquero. What a difference between a 750 and a 1700! I love everything this bike has to offer. I bought it equipped with Cobra Tri Ovals but not many other upgrades. I did do the Luverne lowering links as I am short and only have a 28" inseam. So far I like them and have no issues. Maybe it's in my head but I actually feel like the lower stance makes it handle better. Maybe I'm just a little more confident because I can almost flat foot it when I stop.
Anyway, that's about it. I look forward to learning stuff about my bike from y'all. Ride safe.

Welcome to the group! and FYI, if ya want to install the cigarette lighter (power-point, 12v socket), ya don't have to take the fairing apart, just the glovebox above where the socket goes.

Welcome aboard from Georgia, as you lower the bike, you also lower the center of gravity, so it probably does handle a bit better.
