You guys are great and I hope someday I can help all of you in some way. Also thanks to all the people who wished me well which was virtually everyone. It was great rally and I hope to see you all at next year's rally.
there were definitely a lot of prayer going on at our end! I was amazed, and very pleased, to see you at dinner later the same day.

Best of luck as you deal with the phone calls and paperwork of insurances. We'll see you at the next rally . . .

I was glad to be there also. Making the dinner that night was a great way to cap off the otherwise rough day I had. Thanks for all the prayers and kind words.

Ok, I will probably be the last one to check in. I am home safe, made visits to friends in MI, then to Son and family in IN and then to Townsend TN for the SE Region Rally and finally to Mom and sister's homes in NC & SC before arriving here in Charlotte NC. 8,829 total miles, 21 states, 3 regional rallys and tons of great folks!!! Thanks for making me feel welcome and remember "ya' all come on down, ya hear!" cause I always have a spare room!

Hey Ross, thanks for including the North Central Regional Rally on your trip. It was a pleasure having you and I am sure you had a good time hanging with us Yanks. 8,829 miles is one heck of a trip. Glad you made it home safe.

Since it has now been mentioned... the "brief" of the situation is that Stretch went off the side of the road on a tight curve on a twisty-road...

Since the side of the road was up on a ravine (of sorts) the bike hit the bottom hard when it went off the road... thus flipping the bike and Stretch around quite a bit. Fellow riders with the group and a car with a woman and daughter stopped immediately to help. An ambulance was called immediately and rescue got there fairly quick -- given how far out in the woods we were. He had us all worried as they took him away in the ambulance.

Fortunately he came out of it with bruises and a scratches (I am almost positive he was super-sore for days after).

Not sure how his bike is going to fair-out. It was pretty damaged from the quick visual I gave... enough that it was just simply towed to a nearby dealer as it was un-rideable.

Stretch's mother and father came-up later that evening with a flat-bed, and they loaded it onto the trailer the next day (with the help of Gibby, Dmac, and I believe Cal who rode north to meet them in La Crosse) and towed it back "home".

Stretch was released from the hospital later that day and was able to eat with the group at our finale dinner -- which everyone was real happy to see.

Stretch is one of best riders you'll have in a group with you. Several of us have had the chance to ride with him over the last several years.

Seeing that even he can have an accident should remind everyone that accidents happens fast, and can happen to the best-riders at any time. Stretch was wearing his equipment, which I am sure helped him out, but I would defer to his thoughts and opinions on that.

I'm sorry to hear about your mishap Stretch, but the main thing is I'm glad you're ok.

The bikes can be replaced, but you can't be. Heal up and get to feeling better.
