I know you're new here so I'll be gentle...you don't need to type in ALL CAPS. On a forum, that's considered yelling. Just a little forum etiquette for the newbie.

What would really help is the rated input amperes per amplifier. Not the output amps which have no meaning in the real world.

SILVERBACH --- Funny. My S2 lets me type anything I want in lower case. You might have a faulty phone. I'd take it in for service. They can probably fix it.

You still aren't showing how many amps it draws, just the output. The 300x4 should be fine. You might have issues with the mono amp especially if you're hitting the sub hard. The 300x4 is a popular bike amp. I haven't heard of anybody (HDs, Vics, Kaws, GWs, etc) complain yet. I have one I'll be installing this winter to power my (2) fairing and (2) TP speakers. I'll run a dedicated power wire to the battery but I won't sweat it otherwise.

As Monkeyman said, you are providing output Specs.. Really, more oftem than not the output wattage is a sales gimmic and has no basis in the real world. Somewhere in the Spec. it has to list the input amperes. With that info we can have a real discussion on how fast your battery will run down.

I'm home now. This is out of the destruction manual.

Operating Voltage: 9-16vDC

SILVERBACHs specs are @ 14.4v

There aren't any other specs (other than what he already posted) in the manual unless they're in the German, Spanish, French, Italian or Dutch sections. :)

Interesting...it has NOMAD technology. :)

NOMAD is a "real time" analog computer that protects your amplifier from shorting speaker wires and dangerously low speaker impedances.

If the amp really drew close to 30 amps you wouldn't be able to keep the battery charged. I wouldn't worry about installing one, so many others have done it without issue it is a given that it will work.

In his original post, he cites both amps having an inline 30-amp fuse, so I'm assuming they're gonna draw, normally, between 15 and 20, and *POOF*, the protection kicks in after 30?

Just my thoughts, but it's been a LONG time since I've messed with amplifiers.

Amps

I cant answer your question about the amp in general but... I put a kuryakyn voltmeter on both of my motorcycles AND both of my cars as well. It seems to be realtively accurate and will give you a heads up when you are not charging properly. I have a sound system on my 1500FI with passing lights and LED's. It is very interesting to see what pulls what power and under what traffic conditions. Most any voltmeter should do the trick. I like the Kuryakyn because it has a dimmer based on outside light conditions and it comes in both black and safety chrome. my 2 cents

If your worried about the power its drawing you can put a stiffing cap on one or both amps
