Cleaning out the Garage

I found a couple things I had for my old Nomad while cleaning out the garage.

I have a removable center stand, it was custom built from plans on the internet, paid a stupid amount to have this made, asking $75 plus shipping. This is not a permanent item, it is made to be put on for service / storage, and removed when riding. It should work on any Nomad with the two tabs with holes on the bottom of the frame:

You can see in the picture below the lever arm is facing forward, the bike can't roll off the stand with it in this position. Very stable when storing or working on your Nomad.

So THAT'S what one of those center stands looks like up close. Huh. I've seen the write up/link on Gadgets site and wanted to see it better before I had someone fab one for me. If you'd had this a year ago, I'd have bought it. Looks nice. Well worth the price, I think.

Good thing you didn't buy it. What would you do with it now?

I would have used the hell out of it. Most of the time, I didn't need the bike in the air as much as I just needed it secure and level. And I would have given it away just like I did the rest of my stuff when I sold the bike. :(
