October 20th Sweet Evalina's meet up

This seems to be the next weekend that doesn't have rain in the forecast. So I figured let's try for the 3rd time. We can use the 27th as a rain date.

If anyone interested in a meet for lunch, desert, coffee, or all of them/some of them at Sweet Evalina's 688 Connecticut 169, Woodstock, CT 06281 chime in. All are welcome and it will probably be last chance to meet up this season.

You trust those weather hacks to actually know that far in advance if it is going to rain or not? This weekend was supposed to have been 20-30% chance of rain and it rained most of Saturday night, all day Sunday and well into Monday morning. I am open for whatever date but perhaps we should play this by ear and meet up sooner if weather permits.

That's fine with me but they're already forecasting rain for this upcoming weekend.

Yeah, the weather doesnt look great for the weekend. I just might send my seat down to spencers for his mod. I doubt I would get it back by the weekend. The wife also wants to take her sister to the blue bonnet diner in North Hampton for broasted chicken. Not bad chicken at all. They don't ride so would be in the car. The 26th would work just fine or the weekend of the 19th I'm in. Hell for that fact I'll be out both weekends so either works as long as the weather holds. I've learned if intellicast says it's going to rain at 2pm I'm inside by 130 there right way more than there wrong.

My shadow had a mustang seat. It was very very comfortable. Put 800 miles on this past August riding around in the white mountains and never had any butt burn or cheek numbness. This seat is not as wide and needs something for sure. I can't afford a mustang not to mention the mustang passenger seat is smaller than the stock. Searched around and came across this site: http://greatdaytoride.com/FAQ.html I researched his mods and those of mean city cycles. Spencer is cheaper and has gotten very good reviews to go along with answering all my questions before I shipped it out yesterday. I'm getting the supracore honeycomb put inside and he's reworking the stock foam. Getting the supracore honey foam put in the passenger's seat also. All for a $100.00. It cost me 41.00 round trip shipping. So for 141.00 I'm hoping to have a nice cushy seat and passengers seat no more burns or numbness. I should get it back next thurs. in time for our ride.

That's Spencer's in Fl? I read up on them last year. They do get a lot of good reviews.

yep that's the one. I hope I can give them a good review also. I also purchased this.
Again I had a protac drivers back rest on the shadow. Great for single riding and would need to take it off for 2 up. I hope with the nomad can leave it on with 2 up.

I rode a Goldwing a couple of months ago with that backrest on it. It was comfortable and the guy use to ride his wife all the time with it on.

I hope your right Neil. There were no reviews or posts made about this backrest or the company. They started making them about 1 1/2 years ago. I like the adjustability of it and the price. I can only go by what they said when I called them about quality. Then again who's going to bash there own product. 30 day money back will be nice if it does suck.

This Sunday is supposed to be beautiful, in the 60's with patchy clouds.

Just my luck it's going to be a nice weekend and my seat is down getting it's mod. It was going to be hard getting out anyways. sat it's up to North Hampton with my sister in law and Sunday I really need to get some trimming and crap done with the lawn. If you 2 go out enjoy the ride I'm still planning on the 26th if you 2 are and probably bring a small Connecticut contingent just so Im not out numbered by you redsox and pats people.

Still planning on the 26th.

My brother is a season ticket holder for the Pats and my Uncle's brother was the groundskeeper at Fenway for 60 or 70 years. Not a fan of either club. I stick with the Bruins.
