The flip up shield is large for maximum visibility, but does not rattle when in the up position even at highway speeds. I would imagine it would be a good choice for a person who is claustrophobic and all that is removable so it converts to a 3/4 when you want. Of course I am a little bias because I own one, but having said that, out of the 9 or 10 helmets I have had over the years, including 2 full coverage ones, it is my favorite.
The N43 was on my short list but I've been told that it's a very round shape. I have an oval shaped head so I figured it wouldn't fit well. Yes? No? The size of the face shield is one of the reasons I'm looking at an N 104. It's HUGE compared to the N 103. Better visibility and less claustrophobia.

Your welcome Cheri Anne.

Chris, I would suggest you go to a shop and try one on an see how it fits as I can't comment on how round or out of round my head is, I just don't know. Anyway I found it to be the most comfortable helmet I have bought and noticed this right in the store.

That's been my intention but I can't find anybody within 100 miles that carries the Nolan line except one dealer in Indy. They didn't have either the N43 or N 104. If I have to, I'll order from Revzilla and use their free exchange thing. I'd rather not go that route, but I may not have any other choice. This time of year, a 300 mile trip to look at helmets doesn't seem prudent.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. Your Vaquero is a sweet ride. I plan on trying the Tail and the rest of the Blue Ridge next summer. I made the Antlers rally and it was 3000 miles total and I loved every mile.

Few more than that out there, getting kinda crowded. Off the top of my head I can think of killboy, 129slayer, us129photos, squidfoto, and there is a new guy I have seen named moonshiner photos (I think that is it) too the past few months.

I saw Killboy on the Skyway Saturday, hadn't ever seen them up there taking photos before.
