A couple of pics from today...

About 45 miles west of Socorro on US-60 near Magdalena is the National Radio Telescope Observatory, also known as the VLA (Very Large Array) and also known as S.E.T.I. (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence). This site was in one of the opening scenes of the movie Independence Day.


Also, this is when I crossed the Continental Divide about 30 miles later:
