Shoulder surgery was 2 weeks ago today. Dr. says all is healing as expected. Yesterday something pulled and I'm freaked. I'm worried I have set myself back.
As of right now, still zero mobility (dr orders). Unless things take a wicked turn for the better, I can't imagine my goal of riding in 4 months is going to happen. I know it will work itself out. This is my first surgery and I didn't realize how intense the healing process would be. Trying to stay positive. Y'all be safe out there. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Glad to hear that you are doing well. I am sure that it will not be easy sitting out even part of the riding season but getting your shoulder fixed means more riding seasons in the future.

Just hang in there and do what the doc says, I have had 3 operations done in the past 2 years one was a open heart ,sometimes it seems like it won't every heal but it does a little at a time.

tdk,
Take it easy. It will heal. I know of several guys who have had shoulder surgery and are better off today than they were before. One big thing. LISTEN TO THE DOCTORS AND THERAPISTS.

I had bone taken out of my right shoulder. I am right handed. The only problem I had with it was getting use to using my left hand to shave, brush my teeth, wipe my butt, etc. Real problem. I hated having to wear the sling to sleep in. But once it was all over, everything was fine. That was twelve years ago. Still great.
