I had an opportunity to ride two hours on Friday. I like the RDL. It got more comfortable the second hour. I think it is breaking-in well.

I would love to ride one of those Goldwings with a RDL on it. Always been curious how they ride period. I like the look of the bike and I really like the new bagger version they are coming out with this year.

I did 1000 miles on my FJR with new RDL this weekend...WOW!
The last time my butt felt this good I was an infant cradled in my Momma's loving hands.

Installed today

Picked my seat up from the Post Office yesterday. It made it back from Shasta Lake a couple of days quicker than the trip out. Who knew that it would be quicker via Quebec? Installed the seat and it feels comfortable. Unfortunately I was busy today so didn't get out for a ride. Might have to wait until March now as the temperature is dropping again. I will attempt to add a couple of pictures here.

Thanks Mike!!!

I see you went with the basket weave. Very nice! What kind of bike is that? Let's see a full bike shot. I like the color...

2005 R1200GS. The garage is a bit crowded, tough to get a full bike shot. I will see what I can do Mike.

Seats look great. What are /where did you get those brackets that you are using for the side cases?

Hi Scornay

The cases and brackets are from Caribou Cases. I had them on my 650GS and then got new brackets when I switched them over to the 1200GS. I've had them about five years now.

My wife reported that a large box was delivered from Russell today. I look forward to checking it out when I get home tonight. Will post pics of our new seat as soon as I am able.

I installed my seat tonight in the garage and took the bike out for a brief spin down the road while underdressed for the low temps. NICE! It's installed on a 2012 Suzuki DL650 V-Strom Adventure. Sorry for the low quality phone pic. I'll try to get some better shots tomorrow in the sunlight.

This seat is a 2-up with half-moon stitching and basketweave insert on the top. The basketweave blends well with the carbon look of the plastic side panels, imho.

Thanks again, Mike! I really apreciate your efforts in organizing the group buy and welcoming a few of us "outsiders" to join the fun.
