Throttle lock

Remember a few weeks ago, we were trying to to find the Flip-a-Lever throttle lock, but they had apparently gone out of business? Well, I stumbled upon this throttle lock and thought I'd toss it out here. It's Yamaha-specific, but I don't know why it wouldn't work for the Nomad. The price is certainly right.

I see how those work now! I seen them on ebay but couldn't figure out how it works, no instructions. I like my vista.

It looks simple enough that you could make one with a bit of thinking.

Yeah, I had the same thought. The installation instructions give a complete parts breakdown.

I really wanted one of those Flip-a-Levers <sigh>.

I decided it wasn't worth messing with and ordered a Vista Cruise last evening. I don't particularly care for the mounting bar that lets the locking ring "float", but maybe I can engineer a better solution.

I actually had a guy selling a nomad on craigslist and if it didn't sell he was going to take the flipalever off and sell it to me. Unfortunately for me, the bike sold to the guy coming to look at it. :(

Hopefully, someone will recognize the usefulness of the product and contact Schneider and either buy his existing inventory or obtain the rights to produce them themselves. I'm sure there's a market for them, I don't know if it's large enough to be someone's bread and butter, but it would be a good addition to an existing product line.

I have had Vista Cruise on two bikes, and it's better than nothing.

But just barely.

The second one was a prize, BTW. I never would have bought a second one.

Yeah, I've had one and if I can't get the flip a lever before my trip to New Mexico in May, I'll get another. Just can't swing for the breakaway even though it's sweet.

Anyone have experience with this one. I'm considering it. Found it while searching for the flip a lever and it may be why the other guy went out of business.
