FI Idle

2001 1500L FI. Owned this about a month. Been very impressed with how smoothly it starts without ever having to use the choke (first FI bike), runs beautifully and shifts like a dream. Yesterday was riding and noticed it was idling much faster. Today, washed it and cranked it and idle was immediately much faster than "normal". Let it warm up, checked choke, and it never slowed. When I put it in gear to drive it into shed, it gave a big jerk and ground the gear loudly.

Have no idea what this means on a FI bike, or how to adjust it. I've never used the choke, and after moving it to the shed today I shut it down, pulled choke out and shoved it back in....then restarted. Still high idle.

Thoughts? Recommendations?
