I just sold a set cheap on Ebay I used for 800 miles.
I know this doesn't help you now but you may want to check there off and on.

I got mine from http://www.freedomcycles.com/parts.html. Their site isn't great, but they can fix you up if you call. Mine were $60 brand new.

I know I can't help, but I had to say it... from the main page, I thought you were looking for 8-10 inches somewhere else. Boy, was I relieved that wasn't the case.

No Lar, still had the pain in shoulder and upper back after 85 miles or so.
I also had Pro One grips that look like Iso grips on and took them off too.
The grips really hurt my wrist. Almost like a carpel tunnel pain.
Put the stock bars and grips back on and the wrist pain went away, still had the other problem though.
Went to a chiropractor last Fri and again Monday. Rode 150 miles today and the pain was barely noticeable.

higher bars

8 inch risers on my bike. That might work, with a lot less work. Just take the cables out of the guides I think.

I put on some higher handlebars hoping for a better look. They looked great but I ended up not liking them because of the handling. To me, the Nomad likes to pitch or lean heavy at speeds below centrifugal force. (less than about 10 miles per hour.) I think that is why the stock bars are so wide. The taller bars added to the ugliness of the handling. I am a big guy but I got tired of muscling the bike at low speeds for a better biker look. I put the stock bars back on and appreciated them much more. My 2 cents.

TGPE --- Do NOT add bigger bars! It's not worth the hassle, time and money! Just DON'T DO IT!!!

Allow me to explain. First, you'll get some 10" high, 1" diameter bars. You won't have to rewire anything or buy new parts but you'll spend an hour installing them. THEN you'll decide you want 1 1/4" bars so you'll buy some 10", 1 1/4" diameter bars. After that, you'll decide 10" bars just aren't tall enough so you'll buy some 12", 1 1/4" dia bars. Hmmm....those are nice (and what I currently have) but THEN.....you'll want something a bit taller yet. So you'll look around for some 14" baggers. Now you'll have to buy new cables and hoses and you'll have to extend your wiring! You see how bad it is to buy new bars?!?

But WAIT! There's more! You'll decide you want electronic cruise control with some nice integrated controls so you'll buy some Harley controls for your new 14" high, 1 1/4" dia bagger bars. Now, you'll have to figure out the wiring and not only buy new hoses but custom made (Kaw on one end/HD on the other) throttle cables. With the new, higher bars, you won't be able to use the stock mirrors very well so you'll have to buy new mirrors. If you have a HD fairing, you might even decide to add the HD OEM fairing mirrors cuz then you won't see your shoulders but under your arms just like you're supposed to.

Do you see what you've caused??!!!!!??

(Wait. This story is about me. Never mind.)

Monkeyman, you have me "quacking up" in my office on a monday morning.Wow What a releif from a miserable weekend. Bike is down for lack of risers and new parts on the way, and topping that off, pick up truck had an oil filter that was put on by some idiot with an oilfilter wrench that didn't realize that an oil filter wrench if for removing oil filters ONLY! In other words I feel your pain Monkeyman, But hey its a long dark road we all must travel. I'll let you know my whoas High or low but thanks for the foresight!

The general gist of that was real. I didn't like the stock bars so I got some custom 12" 1 1/4" dia bars. I love them enough that I want something even bigger (sort of like my ex wanted :( ). There IS a "too big" (or so she said) but I don't have it yet. I'd like my hands high enough so the stock Harley batwing mounted mirrors will work. I'm not digging the Kuryakyn mirrors. They're nice but not for me.
