Welcome to the board from Canada. Any good marine grade radio should work well for you. I just use a Pioneer car stereo, I am careful when I wash the bike that I don't drown it.

I would suggest the Scala Rider Q2 Headset c/w FM Radio feature. I have ordered a set and I have heard on this board that they work very well! I do have a Stereo system in the Premiux fairing c/w front and rear speakers but the better half insists on having an Intercom so we will give this a go! This way she call listen to her C/W Music and I can either Rock out to my Sirius or Stereo at the levels I like!!!

I mounted a Chatterbox on the handlebars. Plumbed an MP3 player into it that I stuck in a windshield bag. Bought the stereo headsets for the helmets. Allows my passenger and I to talk via the VOX mics. Chatterbox has two VHF radio channels that only works with another Chatterbox so I don't how or if that function works. Can set up the squelch to allow you to listen to the MP3 music and automatically stop the music and engage in conversation if you wish. Or you can install PPT switches and communcate that way. The headset in my helmet has developed a problem with a broken wire after one season. I found that I can jam the connector into the helmet lining to hold it steady and take the strain off of the headset wire and it works. Should have done that earlier.

It looks a little funky mounted on the bars but it works.

I found a Hoppie Industries Tailgunner for the Nomad 1500 and installed it on my Nad.

I also added my Sirius Starmate-3 radio to it so I can rock no matter where I'm at.

Your certainly wired for sound with that setup. Is the GPS mounted permanent or can it be removed quickly for use in another vehicle?
