Venture Trunk

Replaced my cheap trunk with a Venture trunk. It's one of the bigger ones and I think I like it...but it seems a bit wide. I'm interested in your opinions, comments and insults. Well, maybe not insults) :)

And the aux tank inside...

Pics also in my sig line

I think it looks pretty darn good.

But I do thiink you should use the aux tank for beer, not gasoline!

Very nice. Did the passenger back rest come with the trunk?

I had thought of getting one but did not like the forward opening. So I went with the Harley tour pak. For comparison, the HD is 24X20X12.

That looks great! I think your BSn us on the aux tank, it looks like a mini keg.

It doesn't look wide at all, just good!

I think the trunk looks great. It looks very similar to the one I have. Mine is from a 91 Venture and has a few cracks beihind the backrest that have to be fixed before its ready for paint. Thats a sweet looking bike you have there. :)

That looks great on the bike. A mini keg would be a better choice to put in the trunk just for rally purposes.

Yeah, the HD has got alot of room. Looks good too. I found this one used from Kudzu (VROCer) who also has a 99 Grn/Grn and it was already painted to match. Too good of a deal to pass, so I jumped on it.

I don't normaly like the looks of trunks. Yes it looks wide. But it works on your bike, it looks great. My only question is, why did you go to a wide trunk when the one you had would hold the tank with no problem? It looks like a lot of wasted space.

The one I had I bought off ebay for 100 bucks a few years back. Pretty cheap plastic. Had to do quite a bit of work to it to keep the lid from rattling. Plus I just rattle canned it with the spray cans from Color-Rite. Just didn't quite match the bike as well.
I also put my tools (in padded microphone bags) in the trunk on either side of the tank. Works for me.

I don't think it looks wide. Looks like a good fit to me. I like the lines of it better than the HD.

I gotta keep my wife away from your pics though - Those armrests look mighty comfy, I don't want her gettin' any ideas since I waited so long for my Corbin!
