That is funny you should say that. I was reading over on the Delphi DS board and one guy said something to that effect. He actually said that "DS guys are like evangelists, trying to convert everyone they come in contact with."

Car tire on motorcycles - an opinion

Ron, considering that it's only two weeks to Custer I would recommend that you go with a motorcycle tire. The reasons are that you know that the MC tire will work and you will be comfortable with it. Starting out on this long of a trip is not the time to go with something different that you're not 100% confident with.

Besides this, it won't take you long to put on the mileage where you will be needing to change the rear tire again. Plenty of time to try the car tire later when you have time to get accustomed to it.

Car tire on motorcycles - an opinion

Hi. Along with my Nomad I also own a 1976 Harley Electraglide.The original tire profile is almost the same as a car(Square).I never noticed any adverse handling.Many converted to the newer round profile claiming better handling. Probably depends on your type of driving.
