Well I got her dun this morning. I removed my tank to make it easy. I was dreading this but now I have done it, its EASY!! 10- 15 minutes and tanks offf, no gas drips out, I had 2 gallons in it. The TFI installs fairly easily and routes well going to the left side cover.

Set mine according to directions and others advice:
Pot #1: 2:30
Pot #2 5:30
Pot #3 OFF
Pot #4 9:00

This is a good place to start, since I had 93 gas in it and will go to 87, settings will change a little Im sure. I have a K&N on the right side with ISC unhooked. V&H baggers.

Results: WWWWOOOOWWWW!!!!!! Bike runs ALOT harder/faster in all gears. NO ping in any gear (even 5th) on a hard roll on. Spun rear tire in 2nd gear at about 25 mph when I goosed it. it will throw you back noticeable in all gears. And as BD said motor runs alot cooler. I highly rec'd it to anybody. This is the way this bike should run now.

Cool Doc, I ordered mine today. I also ordered the 2 Spectre 9x2 air cleaners along with cloth filters to do the CaddmannQ kit to it. I always wanted to wake this puppy up someday and that day is coming soon.

I'll be looking for a check in the mail doc!!!!

I wasn't lying about the results!!! Plugs right up in a few minutes.

Rode mind today and was so pleased that it starts easy and the fuel delivery is so much nicer. Why did I wait so long???

It's like falling in love with the Nomad all over again! No ping on 87 for me so farl!!

2nd gear tire spin? LOL I expect your gas mileage will be lower because of your enthusiasm of the throttle!!

Ya'll are getting me excited. My TFI should arrive this Tuesday.

Wish someone would post instructions and pics for a fuel tank removal. I have a hoist, I may use that to hold the tank up and out of the way. ???

Techclusion's version Bob.

Bilmac: You can remove the tank in 10-15 minutes flat. @ vent hoses, 2 electrical connectors, 1 fuel line(push pull) no gas spills, 2 screws to remove speedo and your done. EASY

Hi to everyone....I haven't done any mechanical modifications i.e. intake or exhaust. With the exception of the bafflectomy. Would this TFI module enhance the performance of a stock '06??? Or should a guy have done some other things before installing. The CaddmannQ was mentioned. I'll try and read up on what that is exactly. You mentioned that you "have a K&N on the right side with ISC unhooked." Please forgive my ignorance, { I am no mechanic and would like to and I'm trying to learn} but what is the ISC??
How does this effect the warranty? Maybe I should wait till it's up.
{June of next yr.}
We all want more or better from our rides. It sounds like you found a huge change Doc. Any help/advice from anyone would be appreciated.

Bill. No need to completely remove the tank. Just loosen up the front bolt and remove the two lower bolts then prop the tank up with a 2x4 or 1x6.

Rickyboy, opening up the injector side of a motorcycle has been done for years. Thunder Manufacturing offer's a kit that does it that's expensive but really nice.

It's on the same principle that muscle car owners turning their air cleaner lids upside down to open up the intake above the carb and/or bolting on a K&N air cleaner.

Mods like this have been around for 40 years and more!
