I wouldn't put one on my Vic at the moment because of the vastly superior handling might be compromised.

I would no more put a shaved DOT legal street racing tire on a Bently than putting a low resistant hybrid tire on a Vette.
I know that there are many bikes includiing the Victory's that handle way better than the Nomads do. I just get sooooooooooo tired of hearing him gloat. I even have gotten PM's from other members that agree with me. Many of us here that haven't jumped off the kawasaki band wagon are happy with what we have. These bikes found used are a great low cost way to enjoy riding and do mods that the ordinary bike enthusiast can afford.

I think its great that others on here have upgraded to different bikes that fit them better. I just don't need that constant "mine is better than yours crap"

Oh, and I am glad for all the info coming up on this thread. This stuff actually makes better sense to me now . Hell, I might even give a CT a try on my own bike.

Yeah, I have to agree, it does look funny on a sport bike.

I noticed that too, he must not be one of those aggressive, *alls to the wall riders.

I can't see the tire that well. Is it a car tire or is it a motorcycle drag tire? they have a square profile-- and you see them a lot on ZX-14s with certain crowds...

About an hour a go I wrote a note on here about the wisdom I have on being on the darkside. when I went to post it I must have been kicked off the site because it said I had to log in. When that happened I lost all the stuff I typed up........so in short what I had to say must have not been important since it is now floating around some where in cyber space!!
PS All I had to say was that I have between 20,000 and 25,000 miles(happy miles that is)on my current CT that BD recommended about 2yrs a go which is still going strong but I have a new one coming on Wednesday.

I have a CT on my Nomad and it works great for me. Heavy commuting in my former state of residency, Florida, and pulling a trailer around the SE was no problem. Unfortunately I have not been able to ride much in the curvy mountains in Utah but will be hitting the roads heavy this upcoming season, specifically to determine if the CT is right for me here in Utah. I did a lot of reading and investigating, and I was lucky to be able to ride a Nomad with a CT before taking the plunge. I also ride a Hayabusa but would not put a CT on it as I prefer a dual-compound sport tire for that bike. If it's not for you or you have a pre-determined opinion that it will not work, then don't go with a CT.

I don't gloat. I tell it like it is. If i said my stock stereo was better than your stock stereo, would that be gloating? I didn't say my bike was better than yours. I HAVE said that certain aspects of my bike are better than certain aspects of your bike. That's just stating fact.

Have one person PM me complaining about me gloating and I'll gladly leave. How does that work for ya? Would that make you feel better?

Now just a cotton picking minute here! I hear tell they's a couple smart butts on the board, (and you they who they are), and I don't put it past those sycophants to fill your PM box to the maximum PM limit.
Don't leave. You're good and your bike is good.
Having said that;
Now you're gloating about leaving.

I've seen you called much worse than Gloatious Maximus. Besides, nobody els would have you.
Then when you leave and come back you''l be called the "Gloating guy that left and came back 'cause nobody else would have 'im".
And we certainly don't want that now do we?

Always been frightened of the dark.
It is definitely not a suck and see.

The CT will last 3-4 times as long as the MT, and cost less.

Go to youtube and look at a couple of videos. You WILL see that the tire does nott roll up on the side. It will deflect and leave a larger contact patch than an MT.

I bust these guys balls all the time about car tires on bikes.
In all fairness they seem to work for most who try them.
I just don't want to go through the add air subtract air routine till the sweet spot is found.
Chris, calm down, your not going anywhere.
You know we have to have thick skin to stay on this forum at times.
If I let other members get to me Brad and Norm would have driven me out of here long ago.
Also if I was driven away Wompus would still be here copying and pasting his ass off

That's a matter of opinion. I have read on various forums as well as this one that some riders have switched back to MC tyres from CT so if that's not suck and see well I don't know what is.

What the hell is "suck and see" some kind of Australian saying?
Can't say I have ever heard it before.
Sounds like something one would say to a prostitute when she said she don't know if she likes giving oral sex .

I've had thousands of prostitutes and never had that happen.

In another scenario would be a frail young guy finds himself imprisoned with a large guy sporting Neanderthal features, could find himself experiencing suck and see as an internship to an exhaustive lifestyle of homer sexuality.

Go find 'im. I think he's done RUNNOFT.

The last time he left we found him where some lunatic tossed him into the bottom of a deep hole neckid in a basement forcing him to rub hand cream all over his self. It was speculated later the loony bird was gonna skin him to make a woman suit so he could later fold his nelson between his legs, don the woman skin suit, put on a evening gown and dance around the house like Mae West.
